SDS 2D™
The SDS 2D™ uses a single ring of sensors providing 360 degree coverage in a 2D horizontal plane. The device determines extremely accurate 2D angular directions of human or vehicle IR signatures. Monitoring perimeters is a primary application for these SDS devices. In this scenario a single ring of sensors provides substantial situational awareness. A networked system of SDS 2D™ devices can be established to monitor the perimeter of a high priority structure or area. If the perimeter is breached the SDS 2D™ devices will give the exact location of an intruder. This location information can be provided to additional security systems such as pan/tilt/zoom cameras. Specific areas where the SDS 2D™ device can be implemented include: perimeter monitoring, harbor security, border patrol, airport security, other security applications.
